Our client, an established group specialist practice located within the grounds of Greenslopes Private Hospital, is actively looking to appoint a highly experienced, reliable and efficient Practice Manager to fit within this fast-paced and dynamic group.  The ideal candidate will be conscientious, enthusiastic and friendly.  Previous private specialist practice experience at a similar level is essential.  The Practice Manager will assist in supporting the delivery of outstanding clinical care by a group of practitioners and will promote a positive organisational culture, demonstrate leadership and provide a support role to the staff within the group. 

 

The practice's priority is to provide the very best patient outcomes in a caring and compassioante environment. 

 

Your key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
 

  • Providing day to day operational management of the practice, supporting the Specialists, Principal Specialist/Practice Owner and front desk support staff 
  • Managing the day to day running of the patient clinics, new patient referrals, review patients and telehealth appointments
  • Overseeing the patient billing/receipting for all patient consultations, providing specific billing support to the group with inpatient/Eclipse patient billing and receitping 
  • Managing the day to day accounts for the practice in conjuction with the practice Bookkeeper/Accountant
  • Diary management
  • Providing assistance to the front desk reception staff with general patient enquiries and/or accomodating patients with urgent appointments
  • Providing a high level of assistance and communication to patients and the families whom visit the practice
  • Preparing patient files, downloading patient results and other correspondence to ensure the file is up to date and ready for consultation
  • Managing and triaging of all patient appointments, providing staff on the front desk with the relevant training in this area (as needed)
  • Entering all patient details and maintaining all patient files through Genie software
  • Scanning patient correspondence and general administration support to ensure accuracy to patient files
  • Liaise with GP's, referring specialists, and other healthcare providers and medical representatives in a professional and courteous manner
  • Providing support with inpatient billing (using Eclipse) and in conjuction with Genie software
  • General PA support to the Specialists each day
To be successful in this position, you will require:
  • Professional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills;
  • Highly developed patient rapport building skills
  • Previous experience working in a similar position within a multi Dr specialist practice
  • High level of computer literacy, previous experience using Genie and Eclipse preferred 
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills
  • Genuine ambition and desire to step up into a management role and further grow your career in the medical/healthcare industry

This is a full time permanent position offering the right candidate 38 hours a week (Monday to Friday).  Flexibility to cover later clinic finishes and/or to work arond staff leave/absences is a must!  Any prior qualifications in Practice Management and/or Business Administration will be viewed favourably.  

 

Remuneration:

 

An hourly rate between $35 - $40 p/hour + super will be offered to a suitably experienced candidate (depending on recent and relevant skills/experience).
