Practice Manager - Contract

Litton Andrews (LA Medical Recruitment) – providing a Total Medical/Healthcare Recruitment and Consultancy Service with the best staffing, practice and business solutions.

Our client, a well respected and established surgical practice based at Greenslopes is looking for an experienced part time Practice Manager to join the team on a 3 month contract (with the possibility of a further extension). 

The successful candidate would be required to work 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday).  Paid car parking will be provided.

Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • High level administration and secretarial support to the team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice
  • Preparation of often complex theatre quotations and estimations for patients surgery
  • Booking theatre procedures and liaising closely with Greenslopes and the Mater hospital staff
  • Typing of all general medical correspondence
  • Processing of inpatient and surgery billing (using Eclipse)
  • Managing all Health Fund reconciliations
  • Preparing and processing of all Assisted Billing fees
  • Assisting patients with general enquiries, taking telephone calls, responding to emails and providing the front desk reception staff with assistance during busy clinic days.

To be closely considered for this position you will have the following skills/attributes:

  • At least 5 years experience working within a similar role (previous exposure to a surgical practice preferred)
  • A sound knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Work Cover and Private Health Fund billing
  • Previous experience using Genie software
  • A professional, warm and compassionate approach towards the patients
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • High level organisational and time management skills with the ability to successfully multi-task
  • Awareness of medical ethics and privacy principles
  • The ability to work well within a small team setting.

Remuneration:

An attractive hourly rate will be offered to a suitably experienced candidate.  Car parking will also be provided.
