Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and self motivated Senior Medical Secretary/Typist to join a newly established solo surgical specialist with rooms based around the Greenslopes area.  This position requires an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate person who is committed to patient care, exceptional customer service and being an integral part of a start-up private practice.

The position will offer the right candidate full time permanent employment, 38 hours a week (Monday and Friday).  

Your day to day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Welcoming patients to the practice
Managing all incoming telephone calls and general patient enquiries
Diary management
Accurately processing patient consultation and inpatient/surgical procedure payments
Typing of all general medical correspondence
Providing day to day administrative and secretarial support to a solo surgeon
Preparing and running patient clinics
Processing daily banking 
Managing all internal and external correspondence
Assisting the surgeon with project management tasks from time to time

To be closely considered for this position, you will have:

Previous Medical Secretarial experience working within a surgical specialist practice 
Any experience working within a 'start up' practice previously will be viewed favourably
Strong time management and organisational skills
The ability to work autonomously 
Confident using Genie or Gentu software
High level written and verbal communication skills


A generous hourly rate between $30.00 to $35.00 per hour + super will be offered to the right person.
