Job Description

Our client, an established surgical practice based along Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill is actively seeking to appoint a full time permanent Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join their team.  This position will primarily support a very busy ENT surgeon with the day to day running of patient clinics.

The position will offer the right candidate full time permanent hours, Monday to Friday (38 hours a week).

Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Taking all incoming calls and managing general patient enquiries 
Preparing and running patient clinics
Scheduling all patient appointments and ensuring the smooth day to day running of patient clinics
Manage patient billings and surgical bookings, liaise with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Fund providers to produce surgical estimates and coordinate theatre lists
Undertake general administration and secretarial support working within a close-knit team environment.

To be considered a suitable candidate, you will need:

At least 2 years experience (preferably coming from private practice surgical specialist)
Solid organisational and time management skills
Exceptional computer literacy with the ability to work within a paper based practice
A high standard of personal integrity - loyal and trustworthy 
Clear and concise communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritise 


An hourly rate between the range of $28 - $32 p/hour + super will be offered to a suitably experienced candidate.
